Perak, Malaysian Sports Record (Sukma) was eight years old at the men's 56kg weightlifting athlete of Selangor Mohd Yusoff Nandong in the 19th edition of the Tapah Merdeka Hall on Friday. The athlete from Selangor was very happy and thankful after be the champion in these category and successfully make the new record in the snatch category.

Mohd Yusoff, 20, had a 116kg weightlifting streak, eliminating the record of national athlete from Kedah, Mohd Shafiq Ismail with a 115kg force in the snatch category, as well as generating 137kg for clean and jerk compared to previous 136kg.

The donation of two gold medals through weightlifting and one of the badminton team events saw Selangor climb a stance at the ninth position as of the fourth day of the Games.

Profile of the Athlete

Mohd Yusoff b. Nandong, the athlete from Selangor, before these, the athlete was involve in Sukma 2016 in Sarawak. He was join in two events which are 56 kg in ( Clean & Jerk ) and 56 kg (Snatch ). He got silver medal on 56 kg in ( Clean & Jerk ). He also was got Bronze Medal in 56 kg (Snatch ) category. After two year, he comes and make the new record for both category. He also one of the youngest athletes in the games.

SUKMA XIX PERAK 2018 " WOW KITA HEBAT!"

Introduction

Malaysia Games is a National Youth Sports Tournament organized by the National Sports Council of Malaysia, the Olympic Council of Malaysia, the National Sports Association and the State Sports Council as the host and will held for two (2) years. Sukma for XIX these year was hosted in Perak. There was 31 sports was contested for SUKMA 2018. For the example, for sport weightlifting was held at Dewan Merdeka Tapah. The Weightlifting is the one of choosen sport in SUKMA XIX in Perak.

SUKMA for these edition was involve many athletes and contingent from every 14 states in Malaysia. There was held almost two weeks, start from 12/9/2018 - 22/9/2018. Almost 12000 the the participants and the officer for these edition of SUKMA XIX 2018 in PERAK

The official maskot 

The official maskot of the SUKMA XIX 2018 is the icon of the animals of Perak that have given the name "CHOR" The name have given based on the first "dialek " of  Perak state.
 the Chor was decorate by wering the sport attire while the cheek of the Chor was In yellow colour. The yellow colour was shows the the colour that have in the Perak flag.

The Gaur have shown as the stregthness and the spirit. The sport does not based on the physical and mental but the athlete shoul have the capability to go beyond the limit of the passion.


SLOGAN or CHEERS "WOW! "KITA HEBAT" 

"WOW" means "WORLD OF WONDERS" the appreciation from the Lonely Planet to Perak Darul Ridzuan in conjunction with year to visit Perak in 2017.
